WHS GOLD FINISHES 4TH IN MILITIA DUALS!

This past weekend the WHS Wrestling team captured 4th place in the Militia Duals at the Gwinnett Arena in Duluth, GA.  The team was 5-1 in dual meet action and advanced to the semi final against Collins Hill, Georgia (ranked 34th in the country).  Collins Hill proved to be too much for the Shamrocks on Sunday as they defeated WHS 53-12.  Schaeffer and DeLong were the only two wrestlers to have their hands raised in that dual.  In the consolation final WHS was in a great dual with Heritage, Georgia.  This was a very physical and heated dual meet with both teams scoring big wins.  Unfortunately WHS was only able to pick up 6 of the 14 weight classes and dropped the dual 33-21.  It was an amazing tournament.  Thank you to all of our parents who gave so much of their time to help make this trip possible.  From drinks, lunches, laundry, dinners, etc., we are extremely thankful.  Great job WHS Wrestling, you have made your school, community, parents, and coaches very proud of you!
