Shamrocks finish 6-3 at Tiger Duals in Evansville

The WHS Wrestling team traveled to Evansville this weekend for a tune up for this weekend's Militia Duals.  The team wrestled in 9 dual meets for the weekend and came away with a record of 6-3.  Wins came against Evansville Memorial White 63-6, Lafayette Jefferson 54-15, Vincennes Lincoln 72-3, Evansville North 60-6, Pike Central 65-6, and Petersburg Porta (Illinois) 59-6.  The team suffered 3 heart breaking losses, dropping a 32-30 match against eventual champions Elkhart Memorial, another nail biting loss 38-36 to Evansville Memorial Blue, and a 39-24 loss to Columbus East.  We had 27 wrestlers make the trip to Evansville and all wrestlers came away with more than 5 matches.  Thank you to all of the parents who made the long drive to Evansville to support WHS Wrestling.  You are the best!
