Team 3rd, Melby HCC Champ!

The varsity wrestling team finished 3rd in this past weekend's HCC championships.  We were 18 points behind champion Hamilton Southeastern.  The team had several strong performances, lead by senior Tyler Melby at 285 lbs.  Melby was the only Shamrock wrestler to bring home an individual conference championship.  Tyler picked up 3 tough wins on the way to his championship at 285.  Freshmen AJ Belden (103) and Dillon Eldred (119) were runner ups in their weight, as were juniors Taylor DeLong (171) and Lukas Schaeffer (189).  The team is in action again on Wednesday night at home against Hamilton Heights for senior night!   Individual Results   103-AJ Belden (2nd Place) 112-Sparky Inman (DNP) 119-Dillon Eldred (2nd place) 125-Michael Steele (6th place) 130-Danny Wohlschlaeger (6th place) 135-Parker Bankert (4th place) 140-Drake Gunning (4th place) 145-Lucas Rooney (DNP) 152-Max Juarez (DNP) 160-Logan Floor (4th place) 171-Taylor DeLong (2nd place) 189-Lukas Schaeffer (2nd place) 215-Jordan Snow (DNP) 285-Tyler Melby (1st place)
