Shamrocks Win Broncho Holiday Duals at Lafayette Jefferson!   Congratulations to the varsity wrestling squad for picking up 9 dual meet victories and a tournament championship over the winter break.  The team started off day one by defeating Hanover Central, Cascade, Kankakee Valley, New Castle, and Seeger.  On day 2 of the tournament the team won a very close dual meet in round one against the host, Lafayette Jefferson, then defeated Crawfordsville, Pioneer, and Kokomo.  Senior Tyler Melby went 9-0 at 285 over the weekend improving to 30-1 for the season.  Junior Lucas Rooney defeated a state qualifier from Pioneer in a thrilling 4-3 match, and Junior Lukas Schaeffer defeated a state qualifier from Cascade 6-2.  This was the last time the team will be attending the Holiday Duals at Lafayette Jeff, next year we travel south to Madison High School for the "Cub Classic".  The team is in action again on Saturday, Jan. 8th at North Central.  The JV will be traveling to Terre Haute South on that date.
